
Cast-Iron Bone-In Pork Chop

- Bone-in pork chop (look for Step 4 Thompson Farms at butcher)
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil or ghee
- Dried seasoning of choice (smoked paprika, white pepper, turmeric,
- Pink or sea salt & cracked pepper to taste
- *optional sauce: Noble Made BBQ Sauce
Instructions:
Set chop out on the counter and allow it to come to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
Heat fat of choice in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season all surfaces of the chop with salt, pepper, and other desired seasoning.
Cook chop for about 4 to 5 minutes per side, or longer depending on thickness. Flip once when the first side is golden brown.
Chop is done when instant read thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 150 โ. Transfer chop to a plate or cutting board. Allow to rest for another 5 minutes until internal temperature rises to 155โ before cutting in.
